FAQs

Can we meet in person?

Currently, due to COVID-19, Greenbrier Counseling is only offering telehealth sessions. We will keep you apprised if this changes.

How long is each session?

The majority of sessions are 50 minutes long. In outlier scenarios, 80-minute sessions may be offered.

How much does therapy cost? Do you have a sliding scale?

The standard rate is $150 per session, however, Kelly has some sliding scale rates ranging from $100-125. Please fill out the contact form to inquire about sliding scale availability.

Can I use my insurance?

Currently, Greenbrier Counseling is not in-network with any insurance companies. However, Superbills are available for you to receive out-of-network reimbursement by your insurance company. (Please note: Oftentimes, insurance companies won’t reimburse without a diagnosis.)

What type of payments do you accept?

Credit Cards only at this time.

How will I know if you are a good fit for me?

Therapy is definitely an interesting relationship, so we want to ensure that there is chemistry and flow during sessions. A 15-minute free phone consultation is a method we employ to help assist you in deciding if we are a good match. It will offer you an opportunity to begin getting to know your therapist prior to setting up an appointment.

How often should I go to therapy?

Our policy is to meet weekly at the beginning of the counseling relationship. This allows for momentum for change to be established, and it assists in building rapport, safety, and trust. All of these elements are important in creating a successful therapeutic experience. That being said, this may not always be financially or logistically feasible long-term. In that case, your therapist will assess if biweekly sessions could be a good fit. (Keep in mind that biweekly spots are limited and you may have to wait for one to become available to you. Additionally, if you are utilizing sliding scale rates, your rate may increase when at a biweekly frequency.)
